Full time
Research Associate
We are looking for a law graduate with a serious grounding in Public International Law and a record of rigorous research to join our in-house team in Dhaka. Build a scholarly portfolio while contributing to BCIL's research, events and publications.
- In person, New Eskaton, Dhaka
- Full time, 6 days a week (Saturday half day)
- Stipend: BDT 25,000 per month
- Permanent, with a 2-month probation
Who we are looking for
- Completed LL.B. with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (final-year students are not eligible)
- At least one national-level mooting achievement
- Proficiency in OSCOLA (4th edition) and APA (7th edition)
- Solid knowledge of international law, with event organisation, communication and negotiation skills
- Added advantage: academic publications (not blogs or proceedings)

Judge Md Wahidul Islam Research Assistant
A remote research assistantship for law students with a strong academic background in international law, named in honour of the late Judge Md Wahidul Islam.

Who we are looking for
- 3rd, 4th / final-year undergraduate or graduate law student from any university
- Strong academic background in international law, through courses or summer schools
- Competence in legal citation and referencing (OSCOLA, Bluebook)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in English; Bangla or other languages a plus; media content skills preferred
- Priority for candidates with prior research experience and mooting achievements
About Judge Md Wahidul Islam
Born in Faridpur in 1957, Judge Md Wahidul Islam studied law at the University of Dhaka and served in the Bangladesh judiciary with distinction for 27 years until his passing in 2011. The assistantship honours his commitment to legal learning by helping develop the next generation of international lawyers.

An internship for undergraduate law students who want hands-on experience in international legal research alongside BCIL's researchers.

- Currently enrolled in an LL.B. (Hons.) or equivalent undergraduate law programme
- Genuine interest in international law and human rights
- Good research and writing skills in English
- Reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines

Support legal research, monitor international legal developments, help maintain research resources and assist with BCIL events and publications.
